Welcome! We will try to update our website monthly, with the latest on what is going on in the communities of Cremona & Water Valley. Our newsletter, which is published quarterly will also be added as new ones become available.

Our office is located at 112 Center Street in Cremona - just up the street from the Mountain View Credit Union. ANOMERC DAY CAMPS have been cancelled due to low registrations. Summer Fun is going great! The kids are enjoying all the activities Annessa & her gang have planned. Everyone ages 6 to 12 is welcome to join us until August 25. (Tuesdays 9 am to 3:30 pm & Wednesdays 10:30 am to 3:30 pm) 2 more bus trips before the end of summer...register today! Summer 2010 SUMMER FUN! Summer Fun is back for another action packed summer! Kids aged 7 to 12 (and siblings aged 6) are welcome to join us every Tuesday & Wednesday for lots of fun, games, crafts and other adventures! Cost is $2.50/child/day and each participant must supply their own water bottle and lunch. FCSS provides one nutritious snack through the day. Tuesdays the fun begins at 9 am and continues to 3:30 pm. On Wednesdays, the summer fun program begins at 10:30 and runs until 3:30. From 9 to 10:30 am each Wednesday, the Cremona Library runs their Summer Reading Program. For more info on that, please contact the library. Three summer staff will lead the sessions each day. The first day is July 6, and the last day is August 25. SUMMER BUS TRIPS - FOR KIDS ONLY! New this year! We are partnering with Didsbury FCSS to offer user pay bus trips to kids in our area! For $40/participant, your kids can have a day-long adventure with others their age (7 to 12 years, and siblings aged 6 are welcome)! Lunch is not provided unless indicated, supervision, transportation and admission is all included. 2010 Destinations - July 8 - Ride Ride Ride @ Calaway Park (cancelled - no registrants), July 15 - Splashin Around @ Discovery Canyon (includes tube rental), Red Deer, August 12 - Ole Fiesta (includes lunch) @ Bowden Sun Maze & August 19 - Summertime @ Calaway Park. Registration & payment is required ONE WEEK prior to the trip. Subsidies are available to those who need them. ANOMERC DAY CAMPS! For teen Boys & Girls aged 12 to 15 years. Cost is $40/week and lunch & snacks is included. Minimum of 4 required to run each session. GIRLS RULE - July 19 to 23 (for girls only!) Topics are being confirmed, but will focus on self esteem, crafts, physical activity, etc. Deadline to register is July 14. ALL BOYS - July 26 to 30 (for boys only!) Topics are being confirmed, but will focus on leadership, teamwork and sports. Deadline to register is July 21. Subsidies are available for those who need them. Our summer staff for 2010 is Annessa Good (program coordinator), Kendra Cole, Erik Howarth, Kaitlyn Sponholz and Mackenzie Argent (program assistants). 3, 10, 17 & 24 - Spring Fling Creative Saturdays. $40.00/participant - 10 am to noon each day at Water Valley Community Hall. This year we will be exploring Young Chefs, sculpture, graphin design/silk screening t-shirts and watercolor. Register your child ages 6 - 12 years today by calling the FCSS Office.

12, 19, 26, May 3, 10 & 17 - The Parenting Process. $90.00/participant. (spouses may attend free of charge, but must be registered) 7 to 9 pm each night at the FCSS Office. Call to reserve your space today! The Parenting Process is based on the book "I'll Never do to My Kids What My Parents Did to Me" by Drs. Tom & Eileen Paris, Ph. D's. Do you desire more closeness with family members? Would you like to see more cooperation within your family? Would you like to have more quality relationships in your family? Would you like to have more effective communication with your family? You may find your answers from “The Parenting Process”. POSTPONED DUE TO LACK OF REGISTRATIONS. Look for "The Parenting Process" to come Fall 2010.

New Summer Staff has been hired! We welcome Annessa Good, Erik Howarth, Kendra Cole, Kaitlyn Sponholz and Mackenzie Argent! Thank you to the Cremona & District Recreation Board for their generous support of our summer programs!

We are actively recruiting new board members. If you are interested in becoming a board member in an advisory role, please contact the office. A letter of intent must be submitted to the Village of Cremona office prior to October 12.
